Research commissioned on behalf of Aldi shows 77% of people believe Scotland has a chance of progressing past the group stages at the 2026 World Cup. 

Women are more hopeful, with 81% deeming this possible. Those identified as interested in football are most optimistic of all, as 83% think Scotland might survive the group stages.

This research considers Scots' confidence in and support of the Men's National Team.

This work was carried out through the ScotPulse panel with a sample of more than 1,140 people in Scotland.
